About
The horses taught me that real presence — not performance — is what creates change.
Horses have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Colorado, I spent much of my childhood riding, caring for horses, and experiencing the kind of connection only horses can provide. Long before I had the words to explain it, horses gave me a place where I could feel grounded, capable, and most like myself.
As life became more complicated, I lost touch with parts of who I was. My journey back to horses became part of my journey back to myself. In their presence, I began reconnecting with my intuition, rebuilding trust, and learning to meet myself with greater honesty and compassion. Horses did not ask me to have everything figured out. They simply invited me to slow down, become present, and listen to what was happening within me.
That experience became the foundation of my work as a Certified Gestalt Equine Specialist. Today, I create experiential opportunities for others to explore the patterns that shape how they communicate, connect, establish boundaries, build trust, and move through the world. I believe horses can help us recognize what we have learned to hide, reconnect with strengths we may have forgotten, and discover new ways of relating to ourselves and others.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Health Care and am continuing my education toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am also a Colorado Peer and Family Specialist and Certified Yoga Instructor. My approach draws from equine-assisted learning, Gestalt principles, mindfulness, movement, trauma-informed care, and lived experience. As a woman in sustained recovery, I understand that healing is rarely linear and that meaningful change begins when we feel safe enough to meet ourselves exactly where we are.
Wild Within grew from my belief that healing is not about becoming someone entirely new. It is about returning to what is already within you: your intuition, resilience, authenticity, and capacity for connection. My role is not to tell you who to become, but to walk alongside you as you rediscover your own strength, wisdom, and way forward.
I believe that every person already holds the wisdom they need. My role isn't to fix you or hand you a roadmap — it's to create the conditions where your own clarity can surface.
My approach is trauma-informed, somatic, and deeply relational. I draw from equine-assisted practices, Gestalt principles, mindfulness, movement, and years of lived experience in recovery. Sessions are unhurried. Nothing is forced.
Whether we're working with the horses or meeting virtually, the container is the same: honest, safe, and entirely yours.
